To Warm Your Heart ...

Carolina Locker

You've warmed our heart all year, now it's our turn to warm your's! ... stay tuned for a heart warming week of stories, as we introduce you to people who have made a life out of helping others!  We will publish a new story each day this week, witnessed first-hand by us, on our journey to share "jewelry made from fruit" with people all across this great country.  Indeed, our mission has truly blossomed into a crusade to share the story of the Colombian women artisans who create this incredible jewelry, with others ... and the fire that ignites us to carry this message, is fed and sustained by the incredible people in these stories, whom you get to meet this week!

It's Finally Here, Our First "Official Video!"

Carolina Locker

Our 1st offical video was released today!!!  Completely shot on-site in the mountains of Colombia, and filled with the musical sounds and voices of a young Colombian band called Makana (song titled "Mi Tierra"), we hope the video allows you to experience the beauty of our jewelry, as well as the beauty of the people, music, and landscape of Colombia first-hand!

Telling someone it's "jewelry made from fruit" is one thing, but showing how the jewelry is literally scooped out, dried, dyed, and tediously crocheted together by our dedicated Colombian women artisans, gives it all new meaning.  Please watch our video to learn more about this gorgeously exotic product and the real reason we find ourselves in this line of business, whole heartedly bent on empowering the women artisans who create it, in an eco-friendly and sustainable manner.

Our 1st OFFICIAL VIDEO Nears Completion!

Carolina Locker

We found the perfect match!  Production on our first official "video" nears completion and today we were granted rights to use a song called "Mi Tierra" by a young Colombian band named Makana ... it's as distinctly Colombian as it gets!  Give it a listen and don't forget to keep a lookout for our video, coming your way in a week...

We are planning a big Mother's Day celebration on May 23, back in Bogota, Colombia with our team of women artisans! The majority of our artisans just so happen to be mothers. Because of you, opportunities to celebrate these artisans are possible!

Now we just need your opinion on how we should celebrate them. Please respond to this post telling us which option you would like to see us put into action, and we'll choose the most popular choice! And of course, we'll post pictures showing the final outcome (we guarantee, you'll see a bunch of smiles on our Colombian moms' faces). Here are the options we are considering:

a) Another trip out of the city, to relax and let their hair down
b) A bonus, allowing us to provide them with groceries, including a party with food, music, and dancing (in Colombia, it's not a party without music and dancing!)
c) Gifts, like kitchen appliances
d) A day at the salon
e) Other ... what other ideas do you have?

Lets make this happen, together!
